decoded.report LIVE FROM SEC FILINGS
ABOUT

The filing is the story. We just make it readable.

01

What This Is

decoded.report is a free screening tool for US-listed companies. You type a ticker and it reads that company's own SEC filings (annual reports, quarterlies, 8-Ks, registration statements, insider forms) and produces a cited report: a risk index from 0 to 100, every red-flag phrase it found this year, a share-count history that shows dilution in the open, how many months of cash the company has left at its current burn, the insider paper trail, and an outside-records pass over domains, sanctions lists and institutional holders.

The point is not to tell you what to buy. It is to compress hours of EDGAR reading into something you can verify in minutes. Every number links back to the document it came from, so you never have to take our word for it.

02

Who Runs It

decoded.report is an independent project. It is not a broker, a fund, an investment adviser, or affiliated with any issuer it covers. There is no pay-to-play: companies cannot pay to change a score, remove a flag, or be featured. The reports are generated from the same public filings that anyone can pull from the SEC's EDGAR system.

Data Sources

Primary source is the SEC's EDGAR system: company submissions, financial statements, 8-K and other current reports, registration statements and insider Forms 3/4/5. Supporting records come from public registries and databases, including the US Treasury OFAC sanctions list, RDAP and archived WHOIS records, certificate transparency logs, the GLEIF legal-entity registry, and public market-data providers for prices, splits, float and short interest. Full detail lives on the methodology page.
